Ferrite types.

We supply both sintered and polymer-bonded magnets, and there are two different grades within ferrites – SrFe and BaFe.

BaFe is usually more economical and less powerful than SrFe, but SrFe is approved for use in drinking water applications, whereas BaFe with Barium is problematic. We have therefore chosen only to supply SrFe ferrite magnets.

Ferrite magnets are sintered at high temperatures, which make them extremely hard and usable at high operating temperatures. Possibilities and advantages Ferrite magnets are specially qualified for high temperature and corrosive environments.

The advantages of ferrites are:
  • Can withstand temperatures up to 250°C
  • High corrosion resistance
  • Economical solution
The magnets are however not that powerful in comparison – the magnetic strength and resistance against demagnetization is lower compared to neodymium magnets and samarium cobalt magnets.

At Sintex we are supplying large amounts of Sr-Ferrite magnets to our customers. Magnets from Sintex are typically delivered with a smaller deviation as seen in the market, as these magnets are used in high-end applications.

At Sintex we are supporting our customers with concept studies solving their problems with smart solutions reducing weight and materials consumption as well as reducing energy usage of the product.

Furthermore, all quality insurance is covered by Sintex securing both the right magnetic  properties as well as the dimensional demands.
